It's expensive enough to complain at scale, but more expensive to try to switch to an open alternative and maintain it yourself (competing demands for engineering/infra time, complexity of migrations and odds of success). Easier to optimize for the intersection of useful data presentation and log metrics you're capturing and indexing.
