The article is about LDES Long-Duration Energy Storage.
(I remember learning of Google's early Bloom Box investments many years ago; instead of diesel generator reserves which expire.)
Energy Dome has a CO2 -based LDES which Google has invested in.
Energy Dome's requires compressing CO2 to supercriticality.
