I am in the US, but I’ll do my best to build and promote tools and services that EU citizens can use to circumvent this.
Between the eurozone basically being a setup helping the richest countries get richer through an undervalued money at the expense of the poorest members, the euro being mandatory for new members despite being terrible for their economic development and serving only the interests of a select few Nordic countries, these rich members refusing any kind of integrated fiscal policies and pretending to be paragon of virtue despite their own economy being broken and unbalanced, them scarifying Greece to save their own banks, the current commission being a bunch of yes people selected for loyalty and at the service of a corrupt and mediocre politician usurping powers which the treaty doesn’t give her, a parliament largely consisting of failed politicians ignoring the opinion of their own citizen, legislation being mostly the work of disconnected technocrats overpaid and somehow freed from paying taxes like the common men, eastern countries wanting nothing more than being lapdog of the US, everyone being prisoners because the treaties don’t provide a path for an orderly exit from the Eurozone, and Germany using their political capital to help themselves and themselves only at every time it’s convenient - see how regulation on car emissions will stop, debt funded investments will suddenly become desirable when it suits their economy, and how terrible international commercial agreements are suddenly good if they can export a few more cars - what is there exactly to like about the EU?
Sorry I’m extremely cynical about the whole thing and it might show. Such a joy being able to surrender our sovereignty to people we have nothing in common with, neither culture, nor language, nor vision for the future, let alone desire to live together.
