For context: This was apparently dropped at the Rocket League Paris Major today. A teaser for the future of Rocket League on a Sunday was not on my bingo card for the first official UE6 reveal. Nevertheless, this may be building up to a Summer Game Fest announcement, much the same way UE5 was revealed in 2020. Time will tell.
I'm still a bit perturbed that shortly after acquiring Psyonix, Epic killed off the native Linux client and pulled Rocket League from Steam. We had a great little community that got together on Saturday nights to play it.
Here is a video of the announcement in 4K: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1t9IMJrEe-8

Not pulled, just no new purchases on Steam. Existing owners like yourself can still use it and get updates: https://store.steampowered.com/app/252950/Rocket_League/
It works on Linux with Proton.
