India has the wrong government type for its development stage in my opinion.
They don't have an educated enough population for a democracy to work yet. They don't have an authoritarian government to make hard decisions and stick to them such as building long-term infrastructure. Yet, their democracy will do something like this which is what authoritarian governments do.
Worse of both worlds - none of the benefits of either.
On July 23 at exactly 11:16 PM, GitHub received a notice from India's Ministry of Home Affairs with a countdown of just 3 hours. What this notice demanded was the removal of 3 code repositories - and not just any repositories. Those of bitchat , Jack Dorsey's Bluetooth messaging app that works without any network whatsoever.

I have seen it said, India is disappointing to both pessimists and optimists.
