The general idea seems decent, and "just slightly above your skill level" is a real learning technique. One thing I'd be careful with is hints. In math you need to struggle through a problem to really get it, and students tend to instantly look the hint up instead. Self-restraint doesn't work here, so I'd think about how the app gates them (couldn't tell how you handle this since I didn't sign up).
Some smaller notes on the landing page: it looks really good, but it feels very abstract, so it wasn't immediately clear to me what the product actually does. The hero demo would be the place that shows it, but it moves too fast to read. Also "Hope" sounds slightly depressing for a tutoring app, like "this is my last hope for better grades", haha. Good luck!
One way we have been iterating on HOPE is by offering families free tutoring sessions. Sitting on a call with a student shows us exactly where the product could be better. If you are interested in free math tutoring for your child, you can learn more at https://usehope.app/learn-more
