A few things missing for the author to dig into further next time:
- What's the role of Alex Karp, especially in the sales process?
- What's the role of Shyam Sankar, especially in talent development?
- When Palantir goes to a customer (how'd they get there?) and asks for their most important problem (how'd they earn the right to ask?), what are the classes of problems they're pointed to? When Palantir "solves" a problem, what has actually changed within the customer? What has changed within Palantir? What has changed in each of their respective technology toolkits?
Palantir is basically a consulting shop with fancy marketing designed to shift perception so it doesn’t get valued at the low multiples that being a consulting business normally entails.
