- “Space” -> space colonialism will def be the next thing (nation level FOMO = stupid money)
- “Quantum” -> this will be meaningless but generate a crazy hype cycle bc of the promise of security & potentially cheap AI (security FOMO + poorly understood science = stupid money)
- batteries/power/metals (robotics, maybe for mining operations - this is practical not so much FOMO but driven by it)
- “improving human connection” -> a re-hash of social media
- autonomous companies/stuff to help solo founders (the myth of the solo founder is about to be an annoying thing)
- Synthetic/designer drugs for human optimization (personalized meds based on your genetics & immune profile)
