It's the best sports ownership system and still doesn't reduce competitiveness really as the league regularly has some of the best players in the world (Olise and Kane last year). The clubs that are most vocally against it such as Hannover, are also not really investing anything of note. I suspect the main issue is that they can't run it for profit by buying young, selling, and then just routinely asset stripping.
