But the real shift is vertical. We need to move one level up and become engineers. Engineers work not so much with code, but with systems: they understand them, make decisions, and define the changes. Code becomes the agent's domain.
Right now, we talk a lot about making things convenient for agents. But I don't think that's the goal in itself. We need to start thinking about Engineering Experience: how easy it is for an engineer to work with and understand the system. Agent Experience is just a derivative of that.
