FYI I read somewhere that the reason for duo was to capture an entirely different market from average comsumer. It was to meet the needs of physical technicians who need to climb electric poles etc and need to also have handy a device ( typically mini ) to look up CAD designs etc. as they work in the field. They would prefer to carry one device .
This may apply to others as well.
For me personally a phone and a laptop meet my needs being a desk bound software-only SME .
