I wrote a background story on why and how I build OpenFactor but it was flagged by the stupid ai bot that runs on HN.
So here is the TL;DR version:
I created OpenFactor out of frustration with other 2FA app.
Wasn't sure what I was getting myself into and I think it came out as a very focus, very secure app and easy auditable.
Gave me a new appreciation for 2FA, in particular what role it should play in your security stack.
