Wow, this is the most impressive car I've ever seen. 0-60 in less than 1 sec. It flew in the air! It can suck itself to the road and make insane turns. wow oh wow
McMurtry says the hard part isn't the suction, really, it's making the skirt work across a variety of road conditions, so you don't lose cornering ability when you need it most. That track Tesla built was very smooth. It's possible they can do what they showed, and not be able to do the same on a regular road.
Sort of. This is not a production car in any meaningful sense of that term. They'll make a handful of them to sell, just to say they did. But it sure seems like the actual mass-production Roadster they've teased for years is dead.
Gallardo had a baby with a Cybertruck and the ugly gene was copied. Showing a car at night is a great way to disguise the shape.. they learned next to nothing from the Cybertruck styling?

0-60 mph 0.81s.
According to Musk, 0.5 mach max speed.
He also said it can corner better than any car in the world due to massive downforce. And that it'll be in production in 2028.
We'll see.
According to Musk, wasn’t FSD just around the corner? Multiple times?
I don’t trust a word that guy says.
And Cybertruck can act as a boat.
Nothing Musk says is credible.

For anyone doubting the downforce aspect, that at least has been demonstrated by others:

It’s worrying that drivers will think it’s safe to use this in varied road conditions.

They aren’t disguising the shape. They showed it well-lit from every angle.
